Welcome to 2012!
What else is there but to go for a ride? The morning started out basic enough, watching some soccer and drinking coffee…and then I watched the weather app on my laptop tick over 41 degrees.
Open the shade, mostly sunny, a few clouds and no chance of rain.
I fired up the Triumph, it’s three cylinder burgle always bringing a smile.
I loaded some extra winter clothes into my panniers and headed out out toward Eatonville. The day was perfect if just a little chilly as I headed up the outskirts of the mountainside.
The roads were pretty good but a bit damp where covered in shade so I took it at my usual winter-cruise speed.
The route I Google Mapped out was to hit Elbe, then turn west toward I-5 and then head back up through Roy
But, I underestimated the wet conditions and some pretty windy sections that made me keep my speed down so I had to make an adjustment and hit I-5 to get home at a good time.

Overall, I have to say that for being this far “off season”, it was more than what could be hoped for so I took full advantage and enjoyed a solid 4 hours of bliss.
